Aurélien Besnard is an ecologist working on conservation biology of vertebrates. His research includes developing new statistical methods for population monitoring or modeling, analyzing field data to identify key pressures on threatened populations and assessing public policy efficiency for their conservation. His works are mainly conducted in direct collaboration with stakeholders (national parks or reserves, NGO, conservation programs, ministry, private companies, etc) to enhance the societal utility of science.
