Filipa Coutinho Soares is a macroecologist specializing in global biodiversity change and conservation. Her research focuses on large-scale biodiversity patterns and the impacts of human activities on biodiversity, aiming to inform and enhance conservation strategies. She is currently a postdoc on the RISKY project, where she works on compiling and standardizing wildlife mortality data, identifying species at highest risk of extinction, and mapping the most critical areas.
