Joana Bernardino is a wildlife biologist specializing in biodiversity conservation and environmental impact assessment. Her primary research focuses on the interactions between wildlife and energy infrastructures, with an emphasis on improving methodologies to assess and mitigate their impacts. Within the RISKY project, she is leading efforts to compile global data on wildlife mortality caused by power lines and to develop user-friendly analytical tools aimed at reducing these impacts.
