RISKY at IENE 2026
RISKY participated in the IENE 2026 International Conference (21–25 September, Bristol, UK), contributing to discussions on wildlife mortality and its implications for population persistence through two activities:
- Scientific presentation - Global effects of roadkill on carnivore persistence over the next 50 years, exploring how road mortality affects the long-term viability of carnivore populations worldwide.
- Interactive session - From Roadkill Counts to Population Risk: a hands-on session demonstrating how roadkill data can be used to assess population-level impacts and support conservation decisions.
Both activities highlighted the importance of moving beyond mortality counts towards understanding the consequences of infrastructure-related mortality for wildlife populations.
